It is a surgery for the eyelids that are droopy or puffy. This surgery involves removing excess skin, muscle and fat from accumulated bags and wrinkles that causes droopy eyelids and sagging eyebrows.
So, this surgery is performed to improve the outer look as well as to prevent problems in vision. As sagging skin can cause problems in side vision, especially upper and outer parts of your field of vision.
Each case is assessed individually. The surgeon works on the upper lid first. He cuts along the fold of eyelid, removes the extra skin and fat, and then closes the cut. Regarding the lower lid, the surgeon makes a cut below the lashes and redistributes excess fat or skin and closes the cut.
Blepharoplasty may be an option if you have:
