Laser Hair Removal: What to Know
Is a procedure that uses lasers to remove unwanted hair from various parts of the body which only affects the hair follicle, but keeps your skin intact. The laser emits beams that get absorbed by the melanin in the hair, which then damages the hair follicle through generated heat which then temporarily inhibits hair growth.
Although laser hair removal has been proven effective in slowing hair growth, permanent hair removal is not guaranteed. It typically takes several procedures to provide an extended hair-free period. Periodic touch-up treatments may be required to ensure permanent reduction of hair.
